World Children's Day for Peace: Poetry, Art, Film, and Dialogue
Honoring UN World Children's Day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children's rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children. In partnership with the United Nations Association Los Angeles Chapter and the ruth weiss Foundation, we are hosting this year’s poetry award ceremony to raise awareness of the impacts of war on children, promote peace, and discuss solutions through art, poetry, film, and panels discussions.

Free event (Donations accepted)
The event will include a gallery of art and RWF Poetry Finalists featuring youth and established artists. It will showcase performances by the winners of the Maverick, Emerging, and Youth poetry awards, followed by a screening of the Emmy Award-Winning documentary, "ruth weiss, the Beat Goddess". Followed by a Q&A discussion.

Cæsura Book Release Party
On December 4th Cæsura will be holding their 2022 & 2023 Book Release Party at The San Jose Stage Company Theatre. Please come join to celebrate and participate in a reading of your poem other readings from contributors of "Reset "and "Objects in the Mirror." Free event (donations accepted at door).

I will be reading a poem based on the works of beat poet Ruth Weiss who is the guest poet and will be honored with a Maverick Spirit Award at Cinequest 2020. The film created by Melody Miller, ruth weiss, beat goddess, will be shown this evening.

Wednesday, October 10th, 7PM at Works/San Jose with Flash Fiction Forum KMart will be reading an excerpt from her working novel Murder Moments, "Before I Met My Mom."
Tuesday, November, 13th, 7PM at Works/San Jose, Caesura, To Be Determined, Book Release. KMart will be reading her poem "Soul In A Matchbox." Also, look for Caesura Online issue Nov. 1st. KMart has a painting appearing on the site.
